"Zhii" is a name so ancient that it spreads across Africa, China and The First Nations People of North America. In North America, along the Yukon-Alaskan boarder, for the First Nations People, Tsee Zhii refers to the "Yellow Pond Lilly" used as a healing plant. In a past life on Vancouver Island many thousands of years ago, my name was Zhii. I use Zhii today as my pen name for my personal-journey daily journal. I will share my everyday struggles as a growing healer to help others know that they are not alone in their struggles to understand what they are going through and to not be discouraged. I have discovered that we are all "Wounded Healers" which is all about re-experiencing the pain of the challenge (past or present life), releasing that pain into the universe with inner healing and then transforming or learning a lesson from that experience.

Gayle with daughters Lezly-Ann and Natalie in front of Lezly's mural

Gayle Crosmaz-Brown has been an artist for most of her life winning many awards since the age of ten. At age twelve Gayle began taking hand-me-down dresses and gowns from her aunts in the city, turning them into fashionable outfits of the day. Her desire for fashion design didn’t come into fruition, but art did fill her life for the next four decades. Gayle’s several awards for her pen & ink drawings during the late 70’s won her a commission to help illustrate an art book of historical homes in her community. The book called “Under This Roof”, featured historical homes from Kingston to Niagara, Ontario. The book and drawings toured all the major art galleries from Kingston to Niagara for fourteen months. In her thirties and forties, Gayle was in her folk art stage of development. She went on to write and publish her own art instructional book on signs and method painting, which sold in 7 countries. She landed a costume making commission in the early 70’s, for a nightclub act in Calgary, AB. and continued to design and make her own wardrobe . Now, joining her two passions, art and fashion, Gayle has brought her creativity for you to tap into and help you create your own style. Whether it is to dress up your home, or office, or to bring out the creative side of your personality in what you wear, Gayle is definitely the person who is up for the challenge.
